Sydney’s Bird Week exhibition is showing again, coinciding with BirdLife Australia’s National Bird week. The theme this year is ‘Joy’, bird art to uplift, captivate and excite.

The world seems more divided & chaotic than ever, this year’s Bird Week exhibition provides an immersive experience of uplifting, captivating joy as well as fun and beautiful escapism that we believe our beloved birds give us.

I was honoured to have Quokkas Corner’s Superb Fairy wren watercolour, titled You are Superb, included in the exhibition guest wall alongside other Australian bird artists, and for it to have found a new home already.

20% of sales will be donated to BirdLife Australia, exhibition runs alongside National Bird Week, an initiative to get more Australians interested in birds. (https://aussiebirdcount.org.au)

Nichola Bryan

Up-cycling, sustainable assemblage artist

Sydney artist Nichola Bryan promotes sustainability and ecological awareness by creating playful artworks from collected and found waste materials including litter from the Parramatta River, local bush tracks, playgrounds and recreational areas. Her works explore both the positive and negative impact humans can have on animals and our environment.

Shannon Dwyer
